Each map shows how much of a country's goods trade is with Russia; the darker the country, the bigger the tie. Between 1995 and 2025 the number of countries doing at least a tenth of their trade with Russia went from 16 to 10.

Trade is only one lens on Russian influence. It does not show energy supply, arms sales, diplomatic standing or military presence, and a country can lean on Russia in those ways with little trade between them.
